In Genesis 4 there is a very familiar story about two brothers Cain & Abel. Most of the time, if you are like me I always view myself as the good guy. If I'm watching a movie or reading a story...I never am the bad guy. But the truth of the matter is....

• You and I, put in the right situation, will do absolutely anything.
• Given the right circumstance...You and I are capable of any sin.

And the truth about the story of Cain & Abel is it's: • a lot more …. messy and disturbing— • and lot more … hopeful and joyful— than I ever remembered it being.

Living In The Pleasure of the Lord - February 1,2009

The most miserable place for the Christian is living outside of God's pleasure and will. Psalm 51 is a picture of a man - David- who had blown it royally-(adultery & murder)...but discovered forgiveness and restoration as he got honest with God about his sin.
You & I will never know the fullness of this life living outside of God's pleasure.
